Hello everyone!
So from Crambys book about Sandwiches I first had to try Marble rye bread.
I had it in the states last year and It was really good and quite odd in it's coloring, so when I saw the recipe for it in this book I had to try it!
Ingredients for a huge ass loaf!
7dl "Rågsikt"
14 dl flour
3 tsp salt
4 tsp dry yeast
3 tsp hole cumin seeds
6 dl water
1 tbsp bright syrup
1 tbsp black syrup
4 tbsp olive oil
2-3 tbsp cocoa powder or black food coloring.
Now divide everything into 2 batches, half into one and other half into other. Except syrups that are for the light loaf and the dark loaf (food coloring or cocoa powder goes into dark dough, duuuh!)
Mix the dry ingredients and then add water, syrup and oil. And knead for 8 minutes (16 if doing by hand).
Then put a towel or foil or something over the dough's in a container and let rise for 2 hours (We accidentally left ours for 4 hours and it was fine!)
Then split the dough's into 4 pieces and let rest for about 20 more minutes.
Then roll them out until they are about 1 cm thick.
Put them like I have done below, layer them.
Roll them together and form into a loaf, put into a bread pan or form a loaf.
Be sure to roll it tight to eliminate air bubbles!
Let rise again for about 90 minutes under a cloth.
Put a few "slits" into the bread with a sharp knife.. I made mine too deep :(
Put oven on 175 degrees Celsius and bake in middle of oven for about 45 minutes, brush with some melted butter when bread has cooled of entirely.
Finished!
Look at the pattern! Was really happy with it!
Next time will use black food coloring though to get it more black :D
Chicken club sandwiches time!
Everything you need below!
Grill the chicken, grill the bread, grill the bacon then assemble as you wish.
Lettuce, Chicken, Mayo, Bread, Lettuce, Tomato, Chicken, Bacon, mayo and one more slice of bread is the standard.
I think you are old enough to decide yourself in what order you want your condiments!
Sooo soo good!
//Stay full my friends!
